More privacy. The same open, modern feel.
On May 3, 2025, Black Diamond Designs installed frosted gradient privacy film on interior glass partitions at a Kia dealership in Lansing, Michigan. Several glass-enclosed offices and meeting areas received the treatment, adding visual separation while keeping the clean architecture of the space.

Frosted Gradient Privacy Film That Fits the Architecture
Solid walls make a customer-facing showroom feel closed off. Clear glass keeps the space connected but leaves desks and conversations on display. Frosted gradient privacy film is the middle ground: it softens visibility through part of the glass and fades toward clear, so the panes stay lighter than a fully frosted panel.

Here the frosted band sits within bronze-toned frames alongside wood finishes, pendant lights and modern furniture, complementing the interior instead of competing with it.

One Consistent Gradient Across 8 Photos and Many Panes
The key detail is repetition. The frosted gradient privacy film reads as one horizontal band across many individual panes and office fronts. On a multi-panel job, small shifts in film height or gradient direction make neighboring glass look uneven, so planning, positioning and edge work decide the result.

Several photos also show the work area and tools during installation, while wider views show the treatment across the dealership interior.

Discretion Without Losing Openness
Frosted gradient privacy film helps when a business wants to moderate direct views into offices without replacing glass. Privacy depends on opacity, lighting, viewing angle and what sits behind the glass; decorative film doesn’t guarantee full visual confidentiality or soundproofing. The film brand and series weren’t supplied, so we don’t name one.

Where Gradient Film Works Well
Beyond dealerships, frosted gradient privacy film suits conference rooms, private offices, clinics, banks and any interior where glass partitions sit close to busy walkways. Because the gradient leaves the upper glass clearer, daylight and sightlines across the floor are kept, while the frosted lower band softens direct views of desks and screens. It can also be paired with logos or bands for a branded look.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is frosted gradient privacy film?
A decorative window film that transitions between more translucent and clearer areas, softening visibility through part of a glass panel.
Can privacy film go on existing glass office partitions?
In many cases, yes. Suitability depends on the glass, the film specification, surface condition and the installation environment.
Does frosted film guarantee complete privacy?
No. Results depend on opacity, lighting, viewing angle and what sits behind the glass, and film does not soundproof a room.
